The number of Bitcoin whales has increased dramatically by 38%. Such a rise occurred due to the growth of the main cryptocurrency exchange rate for the week by 16% to $ 11,000 (Glassnode data). We are talking about unique accounts whose balance exceeds $ 1 million in bitcoins. Today there are already 18 thousand of them.

Users have withdrawn a record number of bitcoins per day from exchanges since the beginning of 2020. Glassnode reports that 20,660 more BTC were withdrawn on July 8 than deposited. Most of all, the outflow was on the Coinbase exchange, despite the growth in the number of deposits, they are still less than withdrawals.

Bitcoin miners' incomes fell by almost a quarter in June. This is reported by CoinDesk and considers the May halving to be the reason. For comparison: in May, the total income of miners amounted to $ 336 million, and in June – only $281 million.

Payments company PayPal, together with the mobile payment service Venmo, will launch the direct purchase of cryptocurrencies. Access to the functional similarity of cryptocurrency wallets will be given to 325 million customers of these services.
